Hmmmm well, what to say? I never know who i can bitch about here.... obviously my LJ friends are *lovely* and hence require no bitchage, but you never know who's reading these things... people seem to find out about them.... anyway, gah!
we had a party/barbeque yesterday. ok the weather wasn't great, but it didn't dampen our spirits any! hell no! a good time was had by all. such stallions of the bristol population as
boyzici and
alphabetzoo were in attendence, along with my boyf James, my landlord Nigel and many other friends. The day was jolly good fun - i had just the right amount of food and drink throughout the day to be pleasantly pissed and full the whole time! There were some mildly annoying and some just plain rude people there, but i shall not go so low as to name names, i'm sure everyone has their own take on matters, and a general good time was had so i shall be quiet.
tonight is the fortnightly film night, whereby Nigel,
boyzici and myself entertain oneanother in turns by choosing a film and cooking dinner. i've not chosen a meal (although it may well be bbq reheats) although i have chosen the film. im going to show Sin City... which i saw when it came out at the cinema and i loved. I think they'll like it... it's very dark and quite powerful, but excellent.
in other news, i still don't have a job. i've got a trial run (so they can see if they want to employ me) at Howard's restaurant which is literally at the end of my street, waiting on tables next thursday evening. will be interesting, although i have to admit i'm a little terrified. any hints would be gladly accepted! :)

As for waiting tips - keep the chefs on your good side, write every order down, have a clear system about which table has ordered what.

I was never very good at it. I dont have much knowledge to share besides beware of the chefs. They are evil people.

Have you seen him in Cellular? (His name is Chris Evans btw, which is ironic if you factor in his flame hair)
